Stapedectomy 
   Surgery for the prosthetic replacement of the stapes of middle ear is called stapedectomy or stapes removal. It can remove deafness which is done in otosclerosis cases. Otosclerosis is a condition characterized by formation of new bone around the bone in the middle ear that makes the stapes fix and still; it prevents the transmission of voice to the middle ear fluid and consequently disorder in hearing. This surgery is also applied for stickiness of stapes and hearing decrease in tympanic membrane of the ordinary ears.
