Open Heart Surgery (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft or CABG)
This is a kind of surgery in which new vessels around the narrow or closed vessels (coronary) are formed to increase the blood flow and to give more oxygen and nutrients to the heart muscle. CABG or open heart surgery is done for the patients who are suffering from noticeable narrow of vessels or striking obstruction of vessels. Vein graft can be taken from a foot vessel, interior wall chest vessel, or the arm.
